Last Day of Spring Break

Posted by Juliano Queiroz on 8:19 PM
Oh no! Last day of spring break. They always say that good things don’t last forever. I was really enjoying not have to go to the college everyday and just sleep in everyday. Nothing feels better than sleep at least 9 hours. But I believe that it depends about how much sleep you are used to get. One year ago, I was probably sleeping no more than 5-6 hours per night. I used to get off work and go play inline hockey with some friends, then get home around midnight, shower, stay on the Internet for awhile, then finally get some sleep and then get up around 7:30am and head to work. But on the weekends I would just sleep in. If the weather was raining, then I could really sleep mostly all day. Who doesn’t like to sleep with some rain? Today I did something different. My friends wanted me to go to the church with them, and then after that they would have some lunch for a few people from the church, so I said okay and got up really early to get ready for church. In my first church experience in the United States I just found out that church is just a church no matter where. Pretty much was the same as in home country, Brazil. After the service we went for the lunch, Mexican food, some strawberry cake for desert, cookies, and brownies. After lunch I stayed awhile playing pool with Lisa and just having a good time for my last day of spring break. Tomorrow start the routine again, college all week long. I am six days behind on my journal. I was so busy this week that I really didn’t stop to write it. But I promised myself that I will catch up with my writing no later than Wednesday.

Teachers often feel the same way - we like to sleep in as well. ~Ms. A
